A fabulous vintage unisex LAVINA-brand watch from circa 1950! Made of 9ct gold, this recently serviced curvex tank wristwatch features a black and gold tone face with black seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. The face has easy-to-read gold numerals contrasting nicely against the black frame, there are minute/hour markers along the face boundary and syringe style hands to tell the time. Marked "LAVINA" "17 JEWELS" "SWISS MADE" to the face. The case is a lovely curvex profile which moulds nicely on the wrist, and there is ridged sides and bevelled ends adding further style and elegance.
Inside the case reveals the original recently serviced LAVINA 17 Jewel mechanical movement which comes with a 3-month warranty. It will require interaction with the owner to work - a simple wind of the crown to kick start the cogs every time it's worn. The inside of the case is stamped "LAVINA" "9CT", there is also hand-inscription dates by watchmakers - a sign that the watch was regularly serviced and well maintained.
Adding endearment as well as provenance is a hand inscription to the cover back; "1950 - 1950 W.L SCOTT IN APPRECIATION OF 25 YEARS ASSOCIATION WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY of Australia. Pty. Ltd".
A leather Khaki coloured band with gold buckle threads through the fixed case lugs - this can easily be changed up to suit your desired look and style.
The watch case measures approx 4.40cm lug tip to tip, 2.20cm wide.

| The watch presents in very good vintage condition. Upon close up view the hands appear to have subtle paint peel and there is a slight mark to the dial, otherwise the vintage watch presents well with the gold case in excellent order with no large dings or marks. The watch is currently in working order and keeping good time |
